Zoltek cuts loss in 2011 (bizjournals)
Zoltek Cos. said it lost $3.6 million in fiscal 2011, compared with a loss of
$6.3 million in fiscal 2010. The Bridgeton-based company (NASDAQ: ZOLT), which
makes carbon fibers for wind turbines for wind energy, deep sea drilling,
aerospace structures, automotive and aircraft brakes, said sales rose 18
percent to $151.7 million in 2011, compared with $128.5 million in 2010.
Zoltek attributed the growth in sales to an increase in volume shipped, price
increases, the strengthening of the Euro and a rise in carbon fiber sales...
